Barmulloch Residents Centre New Build Timeline Photo Gallery

After almost ten years of effort we can now officially confirm the new Barmulloch Residents Centre is open with the lane linking Quarrywood Road and Zena Street also opened and improved.

Total build cost was over £1.5million, with funding secured from Big Lottery Growing Community Assets Grant of £1,075,000, The Scottish Government Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (RCGF) of £350,000, investment by the Scottish Ministers in the Allia Charitable Bond of £128,000, GHA of £100,000 and the Robertson Trust of £20,000. The new premises includes 2 large halls, an IT suite, 3 office/meeting rooms, kitchen and a sound proofed studio. The building has replaced the much loved Barmulloch Tenants and Resident Association Hall, opened in 1957 by local people.

Premises Hiring

The new centre is available to hire for anyone looking for hall space for their group or activity from 9am to 9pm with a manned reception. The new centre is not licensed for alcohol consumption and would need to be manned by 2 members of staff, as such parties and evening events will continue to be hosted in the Recreation Hall (Church Hall).
